Phil, Lisa & Phillip,

Thank you for posting the "why." We know it doesn't make Jordan's passing any easier for you.
Please know how many of us hold you close and continue to pray for you and yours. Although Jordan's heart failed, his spirit continues to beat strong in the heart of so many others. Try to find solace in knowing that there is a special shine left on all those he touched.

Peace be with you,

Dear Phil and Lisa:

I have never met you and unfortunately did not have the opportunity to meet Jordan, either. However, I know your son Phillip, Jr., as he is a student in my department at Colorado State University where I am a professor. Through Phillip I have learned quite a bit about Jordan and I wanted to communicate a few thoughts to you. I just had a long visit with Phillip this morning--he described how much he loved and truly admired his younger brother, Jordan. It seems that Jordan's athletic and academic accomplishments, while significant and noteworthy, pale in comparison to the eternal impact he continues to have on so many people. Phillip will carry Jordan's legacy forward in many ways, as will you and all of his extended family and friends. I pray that your grief will be eventually overshadowed by knowing that Jordan's impact continues far beyond his 22 years spent on earth. My heart goes out to you.
Sincerely,
Chris Melby, on behalf of the entire Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University

Dear Phil, Lisa, Philip and family,

The Andersons send all their love and prayers to you. Hearing about your last month, we know you are surrounded by God's love through the many people who have surrounded you during this tough time.

Jordan's spirit is still here with us all in our hearts. We'll always remember his smile as he carried two small cousins easily on his back. That spirit is with them as they remember his joy-filled love for them. Those are things that last forever.

We can't explain why things like this happen, but we hope it is comforting to know that there are so many people lifting you up through God's grace and memories of His love through Jordan.

God Bless,

Ken, Jen, Kelsey, Derek & Angie Anderson

Phil, Lisa and Phillip,
Think of you often, you are in my families prayers. I have had the pleasure to visit with many of Phil's fraternity brothers in the past two weeks, all ask about you and have great concern. We were never promised life would be fair, only that it is fleeting and we are here for a purpose. Jordan's life had purpose.
A few years ago, a friend told me, "I just want my sister to be remembered". I told him she always be, in your heart and each of her friends that she touched. Jordan lived and touched many people. His memory lives in every person that knew and loved him.
God Bless,
J.V., Karen and Girls

That was an absolutely beautiful way to describe your friend. Live Life with Passion. I just heard about this story and my deepest condolences go out to his loved ones. Even though you may have lost Jordan in the physical, don't be down too long because when you think of him and his zest for life, it will get you through the rough times. My prayers are with you.

Mimi, Philip and I were deeply saddened to learn of Jordans death. As a father myself, I can't imagine a heavier loss. The world has lost someone very special. We hope that you can find some comfort in your many special memories and in the thought of the happy years you shared with Jordan. Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Dear Lisa, Phil & Phillip,

I am so sorry about the loss of your son & brother Jordan. I cannot imagine what you are going through. There has to be so many emotions you are feeling. Especially, when it is a young person, your son or brother. It is hard to understand why a young man with so much still to give to our life here on earth, is taken from us. We don't understand, it doesn't make sense. So all I know to do, is pray for you. I have been praying that your faith will see you through this. God is good, God is love, he gave you a life, a miracle 22 years ago, he blessed you with Jordan. I'm so sorry that Jordan's life on earth was short. But from what his friends have written that I read, he had a good life, a loving family and lots of friends. It doesn't seem fair that God took him away so young. I pray your faith is strong, that you believe God has a better plan for Jordan. One day we will all understand God's plan. Faith is believing that one day your family will all be reunited.....FOREVER!

Dear Mann Family,

I was so saddened to hear of Jordan's sudden passing. I taught tennis to Jordan and Phillip at Meadowbrook about 10 years ago and always thought both were such kind, considerate, entertaining and good kids. I was so happy to see how successful Jordan was both academically and athletically. I can only imagine how proud you are of him. My thoughts are prayers are with you.

My prayers are with your family during this time. Unfortunately, I never met Jordan personally, but I live near SMU and I watch the team practice and play. I've always thought there is something spiritual about the sport and a divine joy about a beautiful play. I feel blessed to have watched Jordan and his teamates from afar. God is all around us and has certainly been on the pitch with Jordan. I am very saddened by the news, and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.
